About this calculator

Salaried people in Pakistan pay income tax on a sliding scale: nothing on the first slice of yearly income, then higher rates as the income rises. This calculator applies the current slabs to your salary.

Enter your pay per month or per year to see the tax each month, your take-home pay and exactly how each slab adds up.

How it works

  • Your monthly salary is multiplied by twelve to get yearly income.
  • Income up to Rs 600,000 a year is exempt.
  • Each higher slice is taxed at the rate for its slab, and the slices are added together.
  • Monthly tax is the yearly tax divided by twelve.

Common questions

Which tax year does this use?

Is the first Rs 600,000 tax free?
Yes. Yearly income up to Rs 600,000 is not taxed under these slabs.
Does this include allowances and deductions?
No. It taxes the salary you enter. Tax credits and other deductions can lower the final amount, so check with your employer or a tax adviser.
