  • Bank rates in this calculator are entered by you. We add bank-specific solar rates only once they are checked against each bank's own rate sheet.
  • Some banks do not finance batteries, and some offer solar only in certain cities. Ask before you apply.
  • Results are estimates. Banks add fees, insurance and their own rounding, so your lender's figures may differ slightly.

About this calculator

A solar loan spreads the cost of a system over monthly instalments. The question that matters is whether your bill savings cover the instalment.

Enter the cost and your bank's terms, then the monthly savings you expect. The calculator shows the instalment and how much is left over, or how much extra you pay, each month.

How it works

  • The amount financed is the system cost minus the down payment.
  • The instalment uses the standard reducing-balance formula at your yearly rate.
  • Savings left is your monthly bill savings minus the instalment.

Common questions

Which banks offer solar financing in Pakistan?
Several banks offer solar products, including conventional and Islamic options such as Diminishing Musharakah. Terms, cities and down payments differ, so compare quotes from at least two banks.
Is there a subsidised SBP solar scheme?
SBP has run concessional renewable energy financing in the past, but availability and eligibility change. Ask your bank whether any concessional scheme is open to you now.
Should I take a longer loan to lower the instalment?
A longer loan lowers the monthly amount but raises the total markup. Pick the shortest period your savings can comfortably cover.

An estimate only. Confirm the rate, fees and terms with your bank.
