Lithium (LiFePO4) batteries are sized to use 90% of their capacity, so they last about 6,000 cycles.
Allows 10% for inverter losses. ACs and motors cycle on and off, so real use is often lower than this worst case.

About this calculator

A battery keeps the lights and fans on when the grid goes off, but size matters. Too small and it runs flat halfway through load shedding. Too big and you pay lakhs for capacity you never use.

How it works

Load is the total running watts of every appliance you list.
Energy needed is load × hours, plus 10% for inverter losses.
Battery size is that energy divided by how deeply the battery type can be drained: 90% for lithium, 50% for tubular.
Ah is battery size in watt-hours divided by the system voltage.
